Beginners

There are some great sites that helped us get started. Take a look at the "Sites and blogs we use regularly" right below this post. We still utilize these sites all the time and recommend you become familiar with them.

The Bargain Buggy has a great list of some of the terminology, and some really good basic information and organizing tips.

Southern Savers has some great information and guides for beginners. We also find daily deals on the other sites listed.

We shop at Publix, only about twice per month now (started out every week for the first few weeks).

It may seem overwhelming at first, but it is well worth it!

couponsthingsbydede - to "purchase" large quantities of coupons OR coupons our area didn't receive in the local paper

simpleanddelicious - coupons, recipes and meal planning

eatbetteramerica - General Mills coupons and recipes/nutrition information

commonkindness - print coupons to raise money for your favorite charity

pampersgiftstogrow - build points to redeem for "prizes"

groupon - this is the direct link for daily deals for New Orleans, but you can pick any city; Mobile isn't available. I suggest signing up for Atlanta and New Orleans. Sometimes, it's online deals that anyone can get, not just good for local deals.

restaurant.com - $25 certificates for $10, but these go 80% off ALL the time, so wait and get them for $2!
